THANE, 17 MAY, 2025: When teams from Thane Municipal Corporation and CREDAI MCHI Thane members meet on the cricket field, the first response is: “Howzzat”!
With teams from the Fire Department, PWD and TDO representing the Thane Municipal Corporation, the toss, at the Leno Sports Park, Balkum, saw glamour quotient in form of entertainment industry actor Tanuj Virwani being present, while the prize distribution ceremony saw actors Nyra M Bannerjee and Eijaz Khan cheering on the winners. CREDAI MCHI Thane’s Ehtesham Khan, the sports convenor, coordinated and curated this hugely successful event, which saw 17 teams from CREDAI MCHI Thane participate.
The 11th CREDAI MCHI Thane Sports Day 2025 held at the Leno Sports Park, Balkum, Thane was a resounding success, showcasing the competitive spirit and camaraderie within the real estate development community of Thane, said Sachin Mirani, President, CREDAI MCHI Thane. Featuring a cricket tournament with 20 participating teams – the highest number so far - highlighted not only the athletic prowess of the participants but also the unity and healthy spirit of the industry. “And, the authorities that are stakeholders in Thane’s real estate development,” added Faiyaz Virani, Hon. Secretary, CREDAI MCHI Thane.
“The highlight of the tournament this year was the norm that each team should have one female player, who would compulsorily have to bowl one over,” said CREDAI MCHI Thane Sports Convenor Ehtesham Khan. “This was a new norm introduced by CREDAI MCHI Thane President Sachin ji Mirani,” he added.
Key members of the CREDAI MCHI Thane Committee were present to grace the occasion and distribute prizes, emphasizing the organization's commitment to fostering a balanced and active community, said CREDAI MCHI Thane President-Elect Gaurav Sharma.
A healthy industry reflects upon healthy individuals who are part of the same – and for CREDAI MCHI THANE, this was best reflected through the active participation by different teams from real estate developer brands during SPORTS DAY 2025, said CREDAI MCHI Thane Hon. Treasurer Jay Vora.
Nimit Mehta, President, CREDAI MCHI Thane Youth Wing said the event comprised a cricket tournament with 20 teams participating. “It was held on Thursday, May 15 2025 @ Leno Sports Park, Balkum, Thane.”
CREDAI MCHI Thane President Sachin Mirani concluded by saying that CREDAI MCHI Thane is proud of the sports loving members who represented real estate development companies in Thane. “The event was a grand success, and we look forward to a healthy future for all stakeholders in real estate.”
