‘Good environment for raising a family’
April 2026
What brought you to Thane?
- Honestly, it was the balance Thane offers. Compared to Mumbai, you get more space, good residential communities, and still remain well connected to the city. It felt like a practical choice for family life.
How would you rate Thane’s overall quality of life compared to your previous city?
- I would say it’s definitely better in many ways. Life feels a bit more relaxed here, there’s more open space, and overall it feels like a good environment for raising a family.
What do you love most about Thane so far?
- The greenery and lakes are something I really appreciate. You don’t always expect that so close to Mumbai. Also, everything you need day-to-day is quite accessible.
How’s the connectivity (transport, roads, metro) in Thane?
- Connectivity is quite decent. The railway network works well, and road connectivity to Mumbai and Navi Mumbai is manageable. With the metro coming up, I think it will improve even more.
Have you explored Thane’s green spaces (parks, lakes, etc.)? What do you think?
- Yes, and that’s one of the nicest parts of living here. The lakes and parks are great for evening walks or spending time with family.
How’s the cost of living in Thane compared to your previous city?
- It’s still more reasonable than many parts of Mumbai, especially considering the space and amenities you get in residential complexes.
What amenities are you most happy to have nearby?
- Good schools, hospitals, and shopping options nearby definitely make life easier. Everything is fairly close by, which is very convenient.
Any favorite local spots or hidden gems you’ve discovered?
- The lakeside areas are really nice, especially in the evenings. Also, there are quite a few good cafés and restaurants around that we enjoy visiting.
Would you recommend Thane to others looking to relocate? Why?
- Yes, I would. It gives you a good mix of city convenience and a slightly calmer lifestyle, which is quite appealing for families.
Any tips for newcomers to Thane?
- Take some time to explore different neighborhoods and understand the commute before finalizing where to stay. Once you settle in, Thane is a very comfortable place to live.
