Thane homes definitely feel ‘more value for money’
March 2026
What brought you to Thane?
We wanted a bigger home and a better lifestyle without being too far from work in Mumbai. Thane felt like the right middle ground—close enough for daily commuting, but much more comfortable to live in.
How would you rate Thane's overall quality of life compared to your previous city?
It honestly feels like a step up. Life here is less hectic than central Mumbai, there’s more space, and things feel a bit more organised. Day-to-day life feels calmer and easier to manage.
What do you love most about Thane so far?
The mix of greenery and development. You still feel connected to the city, but you don’t feel stuck in constant noise and congestion.
How's the connectivity (transport, roads, metro) in Thane?
Connectivity has been quite convenient for us. The railway station makes commuting to Mumbai manageable, and Ghodbunder Road is very useful for moving toward both the eastern and western suburbs. Traffic can be tiring during peak hours, but having multiple route options helps a lot.
Have you explored Thane's green spaces? What do you think?
Yes, especially around Yeoor Hills. Being able to drive out to greenery so close to home feels like a big lifestyle upgrade. It’s a nice mental break from the usual city routine.
How's the cost of living in Thane compared to your previous city?
For housing, it definitely feels more value for money compared to many parts of Mumbai. We’ve been able to get more space and better amenities. Daily expenses are similar, but the overall quality of life feels more worth it.
What amenities are you most happy to have nearby?
Pretty much everything we need is close by—schools, hospitals, supermarkets, and malls like Lakeshore Mall and Korum Mall. It’s nice not having to plan a long trip just for basic errands or a casual outing.
Any favorite local spots or hidden gems you've discovered?
We’ve started enjoying short weekend drives toward the Yeoor side. Around Ghodbunder Road, there are quite a few newer cafés and dining places with a relaxed vibe. It’s become our go-to for low-key evenings without heading into Mumbai.
Would you recommend Thane to others looking to relocate? Why?
Yes, definitely—especially for families and working professionals. You stay well-connected to Mumbai, but you get more space, better surroundings, and a more balanced lifestyle.
Any tips for newcomers to Thane?
Spend some time exploring different localities before deciding, because each area has a very different vibe. Also, make an effort to explore the green pockets and open spaces—that’s where Thane really starts to feel special.
